He sums up in an easy to read post so many of the fascinating points around why prebiotics (and fiber), as the fuel for the probiotics, are essential for being your healthiest self!
He explains how when you consume prebiotics, the probiotics ferment them, and the by-product, short chain fatty acids (and in particular, butyrate) have a plethora of benefits that ultimately help you live your healthiest lives!
At Uplift Food we strongly agree with Dr B and have shared with you all before how it is these short chain fatty acids that help reduce inflammation in your body, and ultimately can support positive mental wellbeing, given anxiety and depression are both shown to be connected to inflammation.
